The most substantial abaya we stock, and the one that carries an outfit rather than covering one. It's an open robe worn over what you already have on, with a matching tie belt so you can wear it loose or defined at the waist.

The tiered sleeves

This is what sets it apart. The sleeves are cut in layers — a bell flare, then a second tier falling below it — so they move dramatically as you walk and gesture. The skirt is tiered to match, which gives the whole piece volume and movement that a straight-cut abaya doesn't have.

It's a design that does the work for you. Worn over something plain underneath, the layering is the entire outfit.

Satin finish

The fabric is a polyester satin with a soft sheen that catches light across the tiers. That sheen is a large part of why this reads as occasion wear rather than everyday — it lifts a plain colour into something richer.

It drapes rather than holding structure, which is what a tiered design needs: the layers fall and separate cleanly instead of standing out stiffly.

Three colours

Peacock green is the one with presence. A deep blue-green that catches light beautifully in satin and reads as a deliberate choice rather than a neutral. If you already own black abayas, this is the one that adds something.

Black is the versatile choice — in satin, the tiering still reads clearly because the sheen defines each layer.

Apricot is soft and warm-toned, considerably lighter in feel, and suits daytime and warmer months. It pairs well with cream and tan underneath.

Wearing it

Belted, it creates a defined waist and the tiers fall away from it. Left open and unbelted, it hangs straight and reads more relaxed. Over a plain maxi dress it becomes occasion wear; over jeans and a jumper it's a considered outer layer.

Sizing

Available in S, M, L, XL and XXL.

These are cut on Asian sizing, which runs one to two sizes smaller than UK equivalents — most UK customers should order at least one size up from their usual. Because it's an open style with an adjustable belt, width is fairly forgiving. Length isn't: if you're taller than about 5'8", check with us first.

Care

Satin needs gentler handling than matte fabric. Machine wash cool on a delicates cycle, inside out, ideally in a mesh bag so the tiers don't catch. Never wring it. Hang to dry away from direct sunlight, which dulls the sheen over time. Iron on the lowest setting through a cloth on the reverse — a hot iron directly on satin leaves a permanent shine mark. Don't bleach or tumble dry.
