Men's Suits: Two-Piece, Three-Piece and Double-Breasted

Thirteen suits, chosen to cover the occasions people actually buy a suit for: the office, a wedding, an evening event, and the day you want to be noticed. Here is how the collection divides up, so you can narrow it down before opening every page.

Two-piece or three-piece?

Six are two-piece: jacket and trousers. Seven are three-piece, adding a matching waistcoat. A three-piece gives you more ways to wear it: all three pieces for a wedding, jacket and trousers for the office, or waistcoat and trousers once the jacket comes off. The waistcoat is worn buttoned and cut close, so it is the piece that decides your size. Check the chest measurement on the product page.

Double-breasted or single-breasted?

The four double-breasted suits (ice blue, dark teal, olive pinstripe and navy) have a six-button front and a peak lapel. They are made to be worn fastened, which gives a sharper line but less room, so size for your chest with the jacket closed. The single-breasted suits fasten on one button and are easier to wear open.

Choosing by occasion

Weddings: the two sage green three-pieces, one plain and one with a textured weave, plus the ivory slim fit and the beige classic fit. Sage and beige suit daytime; ivory is a groom or groomsmen shade. Several styles come in ten or more shades in the same cut, so a whole wedding party can match.

Business: the light grey classic three-piece is the most versatile suit here. The navy and dark teal double-breasted suits are sharper. The windowpane check suit is business-casual, and its jacket and trousers both work as separates.

By season: the ice blue suit is lightweight for summer. The olive pinstripe is a heavier cloth for autumn and winter.

Standing out: the red slim fit two-piece, with no pattern or trim. The shade is the point.

Fit and sizing

Most of the collection is slim fit, close through the chest, waist and leg. The light grey and beige suits are classic fit, with more room through the chest and shoulder, so they are comfortable to sit in all day. Sizes run from XXS to 7XL across the collection, but each style has its own range, so check the product page. If you are between sizes, take the larger: a jacket can be taken in, but rarely let out.

Care

Every suit here is dry clean only. Hang it on a shaped hanger, steam rather than press, and rotate between wears. Pale shades such as ivory, beige and ice blue mark easily, so keep them in a breathable cover.

Completing the look

Pair with a plain shirt from men's shirts, and for colder months add an overcoat from the winter collection.
