Product Description

Four pieces, not one: an outer robe, an inner dress, a draped wrap panel, and a matching headscarf. Everything needed for a complete look, in coordinated fabric, for £69.78.

That's the case for this over a single abaya. Buying an abaya, an underdress and a matching scarf separately means three purchases that rarely match properly — particularly in a colour like beige or army green. Here they're made together.

The draped wrap panel

This is the piece that makes the set. Rather than a flat overlay, it's a length of fabric gathered and knotted at the waist so it drapes asymmetrically down the front of the skirt. The knot sits to one side and the folds fall from it, which is what gives the outfit its shape and stops the long straight lines reading as plain.

It also means you control the look. Tied higher and tighter it's more structured; looser and lower it drapes softly. The same four pieces can read quite differently depending on how you set it.

The fabric

Polyester with 10–29% spandex, finished with a soft sheen that catches light across the folds. The stretch is unusual and welcome: the pieces move with you and recover their shape rather than hanging with the stiffness of a pure woven kaftan.

The sheen is what lifts this into occasion territory. On a draped garment it defines every fold, which is why the wrap panel reads as deliberate rather than bunched.

The kaftan cut

Wide through the body with generous sleeves, falling loose from the shoulder rather than following the figure. It's the most forgiving silhouette in modest wear and the most comfortable for a long event — nothing pulls, nothing restricts, and air moves through it.

Four colours

Black is the formal option and the most versatile of the four.

Beige is warmer and deeper than the name suggests — closer to a soft taupe than a pale cream, which makes it considerably easier to wear than a true light neutral.

Coffee is a rich brown, good alongside cream and gold, and particularly effective with the sheen finish.

Green is a deep army tone, and the one you're least likely to see repeated at a gathering.

Sizing — check your colour

Size availability differs by colour, so check before you settle on a shade:

  • Black and Beige — S, M, L, XL, 2XL
  • Coffee — M, L, XL, 2XL (no S)
  • Green — L, XL, 2XL only

These are cut on Asian sizing, which runs one to two sizes smaller than UK equivalents — most UK customers should order at least one size up from their usual. The kaftan cut, the spandex content and the adjustable wrap panel all give latitude, so this is among the more forgiving pieces here.

The manufacturer supplies the size chart as an image and we haven't transcribed the figures. Rather than publish measurements we can't verify, email support@worldoftrendz.com with your usual UK size and your height and we'll confirm which to order.

Care

Wash all four pieces together so they fade at the same rate — mismatched fading is what ruins a coordinated set. Machine wash cool on a gentle cycle, inside out. Hang to dry rather than tumble drying; heat degrades spandex, and once the stretch is gone it doesn't return. Iron on low if needed — a hot iron on a sheen finish will leave a permanent mark. Don't bleach. Wash beige separately from the darker colours.
