A brown cowhide biker jacket with a detachable collar — which is the detail that makes this one more useful than it first appears. Collar on, it's a lapelled biker jacket with a bit of swagger. Collar off, it's a cleaner, more restrained jacket that works over a shirt. Two jackets, one purchase.
It's cut from top-grain cowhide, the outer layer of the hide where the grain is tightest. Cowhide is the workhorse leather: heavier than sheepskin, considerably tougher, and the reason motorcycle jackets have used it for a century. It arrives firm and softens over the first few weeks, taking on the shape of your shoulders and creasing at the elbows where you actually move.
The details
Lapel collar, full-zip front, ribbed hem that keeps wind from coming up underneath. Lined for warmth without bulk, with pockets deep enough to be genuinely useful rather than decorative.
Brown rather than black, which is the less obvious choice and the more interesting one. Brown leather softens the look considerably — it reads as heritage rather than rock-and-roll, and it sits more comfortably with navy, olive and denim than black does.
Size guide
Measurements are of the garment itself, in centimetres — not body measurements. Lay a jacket you already own flat, measure across it, and match it to the table.
| Size | Chest (cm) | Shoulder (cm) | Sleeve (cm) | Length (cm) |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| S | 100 | 43 | 62 | 61 |
| M | 104 | 44 | 63 | 62 |
| L | 108 | 45 | 64 | 63 |
| XL | 112 | 46 | 65 | 64 |
| 2XL | 116 | 48 | 66 | 65 |
| 3XL | 120 | 49 | 67 | 66 |
| 4XL | 124 | 50 | 68 | 67 |
Allow 2–3cm variance, as these are measured by hand.
These are Asian sizes and run one to two sizes smaller than UK equivalents — most UK customers should order at least one size up from their usual. Cowhide has almost no stretch, so a jacket that's tight on arrival will stay tight.

Care
Wipe with a barely damp cloth and let it dry naturally, away from radiators — direct heat is what dries hide out and cracks it. A leather conditioner once or twice a year keeps it supple; brown leather in particular develops a better tone when it's looked after. Hang it on a broad wooden hanger so the shoulders hold their shape. Never machine wash or tumble dry it.

Machine wash cold. Tumble dry low. Do not bleach.
