A hooded coat in PU leather, cut slim through the body and available in an unusually wide range of colours and sizes — six shades from black through to wine red and dark purple, in sizes L to 8XL.

The hood is the practical bit. Most leather-look coats don't have one, and in British weather that's a genuine gap: it means the difference between being caught out by a shower and simply pulling the hood up. Combined with the mid-weight lining, it makes this a proper winter coat rather than a transitional jacket.

The material is PU — synthetic leather, not animal hide. We'd rather say that plainly. What you get in exchange is a coat that needs no conditioning, doesn't stiffen in cold weather, wipes clean, and costs a fraction of what the equivalent in hide would.

Choosing a colour

Black is the versatile default. Brown is warmer and easier with navy and cream. Wine red and the two purples are where this coat gets interesting — deep, saturated shades that read as considered rather than loud, and considerably harder to find in outerwear than another black coat. Blue sits somewhere between the two.

Size guide

Measurements are of the garment itself, in centimetres — not body measurements. Lay a coat you already own flat, measure across it, and match it to the table.

Allow 2–3cm variance, as these are measured by hand.

Note that sleeve and length stop increasing above 4XL — the larger sizes add width across the bust and shoulders rather than extra length. If you're tall as well as broader, bear that in mind.

These are Asian sizes and run one to two sizes smaller than UK equivalents, so most UK customers should order at least one size up from their usual. This is a slim fit as well, which compounds it, and you'll want room for a jumper underneath in winter.

Care

PU needs different handling to real leather. Never use leather conditioner, wax or polish — the oils degrade the surface coating over time. Wipe clean with a damp cloth and mild soap, then air dry away from radiators and direct heat. Don't machine wash, tumble dry or iron. Hang it rather than folding it, since creases in PU can become permanent.
