A classic biker jacket in genuine sheepskin — wide notched lapels, an asymmetric zip running on the diagonal, and stud detailing at the collar and shoulders. It's cut to be worn open and draped as much as zipped up, which is how the lapels earn their place.
Why sheepskin
Sheepskin sits at the soft end of the leather spectrum. Where cowhide is stiff and structural, this is light and pliable from the first wearing — no stiff break-in period, no fighting the shoulders. It drapes rather than holding a shape, which is exactly what a jacket meant to hang open needs.
It's also warmer for its weight than a heavier hide, so you get insulation without bulk.
Being straight about durability
The trade-off for that softness is toughness. Sheepskin is thinner than cowhide and scuffs more readily — it won't take the abuse a motorcycle jacket will, and it isn't the choice if you want something to knock about in for twenty years.
What it offers instead is comfort you notice every time you put it on, and a suppleness that stiffer leathers never develop. This is a jacket for wearing, not for armour.
Wearing it
Black leather in a biker cut is about as versatile as outerwear gets — it works over a shirt, a knit or a dress, and it doesn't date. The lapels give it a slightly softer, more tailored line than a stand-collar biker, which makes it easier with trousers and smarter outfits.
For British weather it's a three-season jacket. Leather blocks wind far better than wool of the same weight, but it isn't insulated or waterproof — from December you'll want a layer underneath.
Sizing
Available in S, M, L, XL and 2XL, in black.
These are cut on Asian sizing, which runs one to two sizes smaller than UK equivalents — most UK customers should order at least one size up from their usual. Sheepskin has a little more give than cowhide, but not enough to rescue a size that's too small.
The manufacturer supplies the size chart as an image and we haven't transcribed the exact figures. Rather than publish measurements we can't verify, email support@worldoftrendz.com with your bust measurement and usual UK size and we'll confirm which to order before you buy.
Care
Sheepskin is more delicate than cowhide and benefits from a lighter touch. Wipe with a barely damp cloth and let it dry naturally, well away from radiators — direct heat dries the hide and cracks it. Use a conditioner formulated for soft leathers once or twice a year, sparingly, keeping it off the studs and zips. Hang it on a broad wooden hanger rather than a wire one; the leather is thin enough that a narrow hanger will mark the shoulders. Never machine wash or tumble dry it.
